Website designed for Piyush Pandey

Pandeymonium.in

When Piyush Pandey writes a memoir, it doesn't need advertising.

It needs only his moustache. So I created an absurdist avant-garde  website that said nothing about the book or sold it in any way - Just several videos of Piyush telling you he wrote a book. And asking you to look at his moustache. Every visitor to the site was treated to a unique set of videos. The book flew off the shelves, but we doubt we had anything to do with that ( Being humble )

The website was built around 24 videos on a budget as lean as a promotional campaign my copy partner and I once ran. Our goal was simple: to create something worthy of Piyush Pandey himself, and maybe even win an Elephant. It did, the Kyoorius one.

Despite having no budget for Cannes, the project went on to win plenty of hearts. With minimal clicks and every key on the keyboard triggering a different video, the site was pure entertainment — an unconventional, spirited, and perfectly fitting digital cover for a truly brilliant book.

We even got his wife to play along and call him for dinner.

From his personal quirks to his larger-than-life charisma and a few habits best left off the internet (and away from impressionable young creatives) we captured it all. Add in his favourite campaigns, mix it with a dash of madness, and what we ended up with were some seriously jazzed-up videos. If you know, you know.
