Persuasive Patterns

Persuasive patterns in UX are psychological principles and strategies embedded in a design to ethically guide users toward specific actions, such as signing up, making a purchase, or engaging with content. They aim to influence user behavior to align with both user goals and business objectives by leveraging insights from social psychology and cognitive science. Key principles include social proof, authority, scarcity, reciprocity, and framing. Persuasive design is an approach to creating products and experiences that intentionally guide or change user behavior by leveraging insights from psychology.
